2.25" button by N.G Slater produced from art with center image of stylized bird apparently representing The Raven, the poem which Poe wrote while living in a farmhouse on what became West 84th St. in New York City. Residents of this street over the years have conducted various block parties and text on this button includes "Peter Max" name but group name "West 84th Block Assoc." Button is difficult to date but we would estimate mid-1980s to 1990s. One of only two examples we've seen. Small air marks under the cello as made but glossy and Mint as made. A very limited issue and certainly among the rarest of the Peter Max-designed buttons which date back to the 1960s. Rare.
