"UNDERWOOD" GIRL WITH RIFLE RARE CELLULOID BLOTTER.

7.75" tall, c. early 1900s. Great photographic image of pretty girl in hunting attire holding long rifle with text at bottom "Engines Of All Kinds Repaired While You Wait H.B. Underwood & Co." with Philadelphia address. A celluloid fastener ( with brass “ears” on the back) holds the cello sheet to three sheets of ink blotter paper in cream, pink and blue. One side of the blue sheet has a few ink marks from use. The celluloid front cover has some tiny scratches ( light surface hairlines, mostly lower left) visible in reflected light. However, with normal viewing the celluloid displays totally clean and glossy. Bottom cello edge in tiny type carries name of maker Whitehead & Hoag along with their June 6, 1905 patent date. Only example we’ve seen in 50 years. Extremely Fine.
